Beauty.AI is the first international beauty contest where artificial intelligence serves as the judge. Participants submit selfies via a mobile app, and a robot jury evaluates them using deep learning algorithms to assess beauty and health.
How It Works
- A human downloads the Beauty.AI app (available on iOS and Android).
- The user takes a selfie following entry rules: no makeup, no beard, no glasses.
- The robot jury, comprised of multiple deep neural networks, analyzes the photo for parameters such as wrinkles, face symmetry, skin color, gender, age group, and ethnicity.
- The AI selects the most beautiful queen and king, and the winners are announced.
For Data Scientists
Data scientists can also participate by submitting their own algorithms to the robot jury challenge. They train DNNs to evaluate facial beauty and health, competing for prizes from Nvidia.
Science Behind
The contest is built on research linking facial aesthetics to health. By analyzing photos, the AI aims to extract vital medical information about aging and well-being. The team behind Beauty.AI—Youth Laboratories—believes that such technology can eventually help slow down aging and improve health.
