AI Horde

AI Horde is a free, community-powered network where volunteers donate spare GPU and CPU power to generate images and text for anyone. Users can access the service via frontends like ArtBot or through a REST API, with no sign-up required for basic use. The platform uses a kudos-based priority system: workers earn kudos by processing jobs, and users spend kudos to get faster results. Anonymous users get lowest priority. AI Horde supports both image generation (via Dreamer workers) and text generation (via Scribe workers), as well as image alchemy operations like captioning, interrogation, and upscaling (via Alchemist workers). The project is run by Haidra, a non-profit community, and funded by donations and NLnet/NGI0 Core. It emphasizes openness, no vendor lock-in, and community collaboration.
