BookLed

BookLed is a hardcover paper book with embedded electronics that uses generative AI to create interactive storytelling experiences. It combines traditional reading with AI-generated narration, sound, and light effects. A page identification sensor using magnets recognizes which page the user is reading and triggers AI recitation of the content in varied ways. The book is designed to stimulate learning and a love of reading through multisensory engagement. Currently, a DIY version for makers with Python skills is available on Tindie, while a consumer version for children, educators, and parents will be available in bookstores starting January 2026.
