DataChain

DataChain is an open-source platform that transforms files in object storage (S3, GCS, Azure) into managed datasets for AI agents. It provides a Python-based SDK to run distributed pipelines directly on cloud storage files, enabling vectorized filtering, joining, and similarity search without copying data. The platform includes a compute engine with parallel execution, async I/O, automatic checkpoints, and incremental updates. It is designed to serve as a shared memory layer for AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, allowing teams to search, filter, and trace data to its source. DataChain offers both an open-source version for local development and a Memory Server for team-scale deployment with access control, BYOC compute, and production infrastructure support. It is SOC 2 Type II certified and supports SSO/SAML integration.
